Keys to Godly Relationships

A major emphasis of Jesus' teaching is how to build and maintain right relationships with God and others. He views these relationships as neither unimportant nor extraneous, but as vital components of our Christian lives. Knowing God is our highest priority, but but this is pursuit should not replace or diminish our interpersonal relationships with others. Rather, our personal interaction with God should produce within us the qualities of character that build an sustain all our relationships.

Action

REFRAIN from judging others. BE DILIGENT to ask the Lord to examine your own heart, and BE FAITHFUL to respond to His conviction.

Key to understanding God's Kingdom:

A dominant theme of Jesus' teaching is the kingdom of God. Jesus presents numerous word-pictures of what this supernatural realm "is like." But the kingdom is not merely to be understood with the mind.  Rather, it is spiritual and is to be comprehended and entered into by spiritual means and in practical living. Let us meditate daily on Jesus' words in order to receive the keys to the kingdom

Action

RECOGNIZE that kingdom people are child like (not childish) in their faith, trust, and blamelessness. PURSUE childlikeness in your interpersonal dealings

How to develop Dynamic Discipleship:

With Jesus righteousness no longer consist of observance of an external legal code. He likens it to an apprenticeship to Himself as Master Teacher through the Holy Spirit. Jesus Himself has fulfilled the Law and become our righteousness. In response, let us walk as devoted disciples being faithful to Him and obedient to His commands.

Action

RECOGNIZE that Jesus calls His disciple to go to people of all nations and TEACH them how ot know Him and live for Him.

Don't Be Quick To Judge...

Pray For Them Instead

Luke 6:36-38 (NKJV)

Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down,

shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

The poor in spirit are those who recognize their spiritual poverty and, casting aside all self-dependance, seek God's Grace.

Lord, bless __________who is poor in spirit, for You have promised that theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

From: Matthew 5:3 (NKJV)

Blessed are the  poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

THEREFORE: The parable of the wise and the foolish builders both serves as a conclusion to the Sermon on the Mount and illustrates the absolute necessity of doing the will of God (that is, what God has told us to do).

Lord, may __________hear Your word and do it that they may be like the wise person who built their house upon the rock. Though the floods, come and the winds blow, their house will stand.

From: Matthew 7:24-25 (NKJV)

Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: "and the rain descended, the floods came and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

Jesus likens Himself to a physician who goes where there is a genuine need. It is just as absurd for Jesus to refuse to deal with publicly acknowledged sinners as it is for a  doctor to refuse to treat the sick.

Thank You Lord, that You desire mercy and not sacrifice. Lord, __________is walking in sin. In Your mercy, call them to repentance.

From: Matthew 9:13 (NKJV)

But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.

Peter confessed Jesus as both the promised Messiah and as the divine. The deity of Christ is a truth known only by divine revelation.

Heavenly Father, I pray that You would reveal to  __________, as You did Peter; that Jesus s the Christ, the Son of the living God.

From: Matthew 16:17 (NKJV)

Simon Peter answered and said "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God." Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blook had not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.."

The way into THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is by the simple trust and dependence of a child; and the way to greatness in the kingdom is by humility of a child, expressed in humble service.

O' Lord I cry out for  __________, that they will be converted and become as a little child, for You have said that unless they do, they will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

From: Matthew 18:3-4 (NKJV)

Assuredly, I say to you, "unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

True greatness is measured in terms of service, and Jesus Himself provided the highest standard of service in His atoning death.

Lord God, may  __________ learn that to become great in Your kingdom they must be a servant.

From: Matthew 20:26-27 (NKJV)

Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your slave. Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many.

In warning the disciples against false signs, Jesus sketches the prevailing conditions of their present age down to the very end and states their continuing task. There will be religious deception, social and political upheavals natural calamities, disloyalty, and persecution - all of which are precursors of the end times. I the midst of the difficulties', the Lord's followers are to persevere in spreading the gospel.

Heavenly Father, may   __________ take heed that no one deceives them. For Jesus said that many will come in His name saying, "I am the Christ." and many will deceive many.

From: Matthew 24:4-6 (NKJV)

Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, "I am the Christ," and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

While Jesus' ministry had been to Israel (see 10:5,6), proclamation of and adherence to His lordship is extended to ALL THE NATIONS through the Spirit-empowered ministry of His church. DISCIPLES are to acknowledge openly their allegiance to Christ by the seal of water baptism, which is ministered under the authority of the entire godhead. The content of the apostles' future teaching will stem from what Jesus had commanded them. Jesus assures them of His constant presence as they go on their divinely commanded mission.

Heavenly Father, may   __________ go and make disciples of all the nations. baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that You have commanded them. For lo, You will be with them always even to the end of the age

From: Matthew 28:19-20 (NKJV)

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
